Established in 1922 the French ski resort Morzine lies at 2020 metres altitude in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps / Alpes. With the highest lifts and ski slopes below 2500m Morzine ski area is not snow sure. Over 322 snow cannons ensure artificial Morzine snow making covers 130km of ski trails, which equates to around 20 of the ski slopes. The nearest airport transfer to Morzine (France) is Geneva / Geneve at a distance of 80km or approximately 90 minutes driving time. Morzine ski season runs from December to April.

Morzine has a rich variety of alternatives to offer the winter holiday maker. To begin with, outdoors instructors are ready to guide you through climbs on frozen waterfalls, high altitude ski touring with destinations such as Zermatt in Switzerland, winter mountaineering and off-piste skiing.
